Jacob’s Walk of Life
Slept at 3am, woke up at 6am – for Jacob’s Walk of Life @ Tmn Metropolitan Kepong.
Not regretting it though, it’s a nice hangout with parents & a nice try-out to see whether I still can jog/run. It’s a 5km route around the big lake at the park, as claimed by the organizer. I somehow felt it’s lesser than that.
5km is nothing compared to 10 to 12km jogatathon I used to have back in high school, 5-6km on tar road, and 5-6km on the beach (Kuala Terengganu Batu Buruk Beach, my school is just next to it). Running on sandy beach is super tough, because more energy is needed – the sand just seemed to absorped your energy. One thing about running on beach is that you can see your destination from far away, and you thought is near, but you realised it is not after you kept running and running and ran out of breath, yet the end point remained…the same, unmoved, as if you ran for nothing.
Haha, okay gotta stop reminiscing about the “old” days.
Below are some shots of the walk. There’s MyFM DJ “Ngan Mei Yan” and “Lam Tak Wing” (cantonese pronounciation) as few of the guests. Sponsors include Fitness First, Anlene, Spritzer…Thanks Dad for going on stage and won a 2 week membership for Fitness First! Going to Fitness @ Menara Maxis KLCC tomorrow!

CerT? LoL
Upon finishing the walk (yea it’s a walk, not race or run, or marathon, but of course I ran..haha), we got some freebies from sponsor – some Jacobs biscuits, Spritzer mineral water and Anlene milk powder.
All in all, it’s a very refreshing ‘walk’!
