First 16.4″ laptop in the world is going to be released soon by Sony Corp.

Because of its screen size, it can take the advantage of 17″ screen contrast ratio, 16:9 (HD Movies are based on this contrast ratio)

It is a spin-off from current FZ model, the one I’m using now.

One cool feature of this new laptop is its adoption of Centrino-2 processor. Yes, not Core-2, but Centrino 2. Current Core-2 processors are based on Centrino (1) technology.

Centrino 2 processors will consume less power – 25 watt compared to current 35 watt. Therefore it’s cooler, and quieter, not to mention faster as well! Centrino-2 technology is to be released in August by Intel, which means FW will be released some time during August as well.

Don’t worry bout its size. It’s as big as FZ and only slightly heavier (0.2kg heavier than 15.4″ FZ) – total coolness!

*quite similar as FZ, and it has the new ergonomic keyboard..kewlies~*

The good news is, the pricing is kind of reasonable *US Price – $1000 (around RM5-7k), slightly more expensive than FZ*

The bad news is, who knows when it will reach Malaysia… Sony Asia could not comment on it for the time being.

The first time I spotted FZ and quickly fell in love with it but it took 1 year to reach Malaysia, and another 1 year+ to have the specification which deems reasonable.
